I always used to take it out on the highway at least once a week to clean everything out. Keep up to date with company news and receive exclusive offers. I did some research for getting the EGR delete tuning done and found that a lot of people recommend Malone Tuning. You can always delete it when ever you want later. That's my feedback. Also my car has 73k miles so is out of warranty. I would say keep it intact for as long as possible, within reason.

The car will attempt to do a Regen and you will get a bunch of extra fuel dumped into the exhaust expecting to be burnt in the DPF and its not there and bad things can happen.

For those worried about smoke, the worst that the car smokes is a light haze at WOT at lower speeds so there is not much to worry about in regards to smokiness. After the tune, the car pulls strong up to about 85 MPH which is perfect for me as I take the interstate fairly often. I've seen it happen... you just need some amount of soot, heat, and oxygen and it can get ugly fast. You can drive with the DPF delete Tune, with the DPF still in.

Rawtek has a step by step tutorial on the installation, I'm going to do it myself so will save a lot there, they claim it's a 4 hour install (I'm sure it will take me longer).

In Canada, it's still an offence to remove factory emmisions systems.

Why not find out what it takes/costs to fix it properly first. that way it will pass any visual inspection. Well there is customs and if the problem is bad enough I am sure they will pass laws banning import of car parts. that's the only way i can see if failing.

I tried to get some info out of my dealership this morning and they wouldn't tell me anything unless I bring the car in. My car is currently throwing the p202a code, which means another one with the adblue heater issue. 2010 VW Touareg TDI with DPF/EGR delete with Buzzken exhaust/resonator and stage two Malone Tune.

So last week I finally pulled the trigger and had a RawTek DPF & EGR delete exhaust eco kit installed, and as my car is automatic, I had a Malone DSG & stage 2 ECU tune.

This is the most powerful tune you can get if everything else in your vehicle is stock. Love the car already but extremely itchy to get it tuned and deleted.

Hella smoke and maybe fire out the tail pipe.
